  1. I like your idea of inventing original happily ever afters. I went to College six seven years before you, and recall sites, sounds and sights of largely similar nature, until perhaps the concluding paragraph. But you will agree that when it comes to really really original happily ever afters, at times the actors too morph into other people, don't they?

  2. Completely agree - and that is perhaps part of the roundness of the entire experience - which is basically, an amalgam of all the thousands of stories that went into it and keep going into it.

Thanks so very much for writing - was super-excited with my first comment ever! It's a lovely feeling I have to confess.

  5. @Atul - many thanks. Indeed, BHU must have its own stories too! I loved the campus when I visited Benares in 2006.

Shall definitely visit your blog. Do keep writing in.

  9. Nice read. Don't they use terms like "portico" and "quadrangle" any more these days?

And... is the canteen roof REALLY out of bounds these days? :(

  10. And, "doing" prem is quite acceptable in the land of "kiss eaters". :-|

  12. This reminded me of my own visit to the canteen roof. I was, of course, in the company of the young journalist-to-be with whom I was also doing prem. Love it, Dippy.
